Massage

60 Minutes ($105)

70 Minutes ($115)

This service is great for our physically active clients. It is designed to increase blood flow to the muscle tissue by using shorter brisk massage strokes. We also work to increase range of motion by using a couple of stretching techniques: Active Isolated Stretching and PNF Stretching.

Another technique we use in this massage is myofascial release. This is not a pre-event or post-event massage. The intention is to help our clients maintain their athleticism and the range of motion while warding off aches and pains.

Deep Tissue Massage

60 Minutes ($115)

70 Minutes ($125)

90 Minutes ($155)

This massage is not only about applying more pressure; it addresses deeper lying muscles. Muscles like subscapularis and tibialis posterior are typically passed by in a traditional massage because of the discomfort caused by accessing these muscle tissues. However, if you are one who can withstand the discomfort, then you can get the benefits of massaging the deeper muscle tissue.

Pregnancy

Massage

60 Minutes ($115)

This is a total relaxation massage for the mother-to-be. We will ensure a comforting and relaxing massage by using pillows, bolsters, and special side-lying positions when necessary.

Hot Stone Massage

80 Minutes ($150)

A true hot stone treatment is more than the placement of hot stones. Warm basalt stones are used in the massage strokes to relax and melt away your tension. Feel the calm and balance with this relaxing massage. This massage can be gentle and calm to relieve stress or deep and penetrating to reduce significant back, neck, and shoulder tension.

Heat from the stones can draw blood to the area they are applied. This is important to help muscle repair, if necessary. The heat could also assist in releasing a muscle. We use stones in most of our massages as both a relaxing and therapeutic tool (no extra charge).

Swedish

60 Minutes ($105)

70 Minutes ($115)

90 Minutes ($145)

This is the basis for most massage techniques and modalities. Its signature is a long, flowing stroke that follows the muscle tissue from end-to-end. The strokes always follow in a direction toward the heart. In addition to being a calming, relaxing technique, Swedish strokes enable the therapist to uncover problem areas that may be tender or tight.

Trigger Point

The best way to describe this: a muscle cramp is caused by an entire muscle contracting uncontrollably. A trigger point in one part of the body can be the cause of an ache or pain in a different body part. Massage therapists typically use a 'press, hold, and release' technique directly on a trigger point thus releasing the muscle and relieving the pain.

Lymphatic Drainage

Your lymphatic system is your body's sewage system. It can get clogged and cause swelling and inflammation. You may experience aches, pains, and a reduction in the range of motion where joints are involved. Lymphatic drainage massage is an extremely light touch.

Light massage strokes are strategically applied beginning at the far drainage end for the affected tissue and working toward the affected area. In effect, the technique opens clogged drains to get the lymph flowing again.

Myofascial Release

This technique is typically applied without the use of massage oil. Without oil, a therapist can pin down a muscle and place drag and tension on it by moving the joint or performing a deep stroke along the muscle fiber.

The intention is to release and unbind myofascial tissue. The client can experience a dramatic range of motion increase along with a reduction of pain in the affected area when myofascial release is properly applied.

Active Isolation Stretching

This is a stretching technique to isolate the muscle to be stretched. Not only does it isolate the muscle, but it employs a technique to 'trick' the brain into lengthening the muscle. Rather than the typical 'stretch and hold' method that we've all been taught, the active isolated stretch is held for only 2 seconds. The stretch is then released.

Each stretch is repeated for 8 to 10 reps. This method is utilized by the U.S. Olympic Team and many professional athletes.

Myoskeletal

Alignment

Myoskeletal Alignment techniques are applied to aid in body balance. You may have experienced pains that occur on one side of the body. This is very typical. It could be that one side of your body is used more in your everyday activities. Myoskeletal helps the therapists to locate imbalances in your body and apply directed pressure in a joint to loosen tight connective tissue.”
